In the vibrant and whimsical land of Refridgia, where rivers flow with liquid sugar and trees bloom with candied fruit, lives Gello Boy, a courageous and curious being made entirely of shimmering blue gelatin. One sunny morning, while exploring the sparkling beaches of his gelatinous world, he discovers an unconscious human washed ashore, a rare and mysterious visitor in this sweet, wobbly realm. As he revives him with a splash of sugary nectar, they form an unbreakable bond, setting off on an extraordinary adventure through enchanted, candy cane forests, honey caves, and ancient dessert ruins. Along the way, they unravel the secrets of Refridgia's magic, face formidable confectionary creatures, and learn the true power of friendship and courage, forever changing both their destinies in this sugary, fantastical world.
The Evolution
2010
At 14 years old, in the middle of a normal day, I drifted into a deep sleep and that was the first time I met Gello Boy. He came with an entire episode and story line and he’s never left me since. During the years, he’s been like a side kick, always speaking to me about the world that he lived in and the characters that encompassed it.
2017
When it was time to leave home and set out on the path to adulthood, I was excited to set out on a new adventure. My life was put on hold during COVID 19 an I lost faith in life, my abilities and was very discouraged. I basically sat on my gifts and barely touched Gello Boy. I put it down and basically left a part of me dwindling in the wind.
2024
In 2023, I moved from Connecticut to California and decided to pick up the pieces of my life. Included in those pieces was Gello boy and his story. with the advancement of Artificial Intelligence, I was able to conceptualize Gello Boy in a way that my drawing/animation skills didn’t allow me to. Using Canva and Runway, I was able to generate this version of Gello Boy, the world and other characters. I’m most proud of what I’ve accomplished so far and can’t wait to see how it all evolves in the future.
